How much you could earn, and what it costs to get set up
In 2012 Laura was a first time Mum and couldn’t find the right style of swim class for her son. They all seemed too goal focused and didn’t allow the babies to simply enjoy the water in a supportive and encouraging environment. As a keen swimmer with a commercial business background Laura took the big decision to start a swim school.
UK expansion via franchising began
in 2019, when we decided to develop Baby Paddlers into a wider-reaching, character-led brand and renamed it to Baby Squids.
There is a one-off initial license fee to
set up a Baby Squids business, which includes all the training, marketing materials and operating manuals you will need to get established and start earning money.
Once you are trading you pay a monthly licence fee. That’s it. We won’t ask for any more from you, and we will provide you with updates to marketing and operational literature, business processes and support throughout.
As part of your application process, we will work with you to ensure you are able to give your business the best start.
For an investment of £8,000 plus VAT you can obtain your territory, the larger the area, the greater the initial investment.
This equates to an earning potential of between £30,000–£100,000+ per annum and is related to the number of classes that you run and the number of children you teach. In addition, we suggest that you will need about £3,000 of working capital to begin with to cover immediate pool hire and staff costs.
Securing funding is simple due to our proven business model and market knowledge, plus you’ll benefit from all the training, support and guidance that Baby Squids will provide you. We can discuss with you individually, different options for funding the purchase of your franchise.
